Stuff

Well, where do I start? Its been insane... I've been all over the place in the past few months. I've seen giant billboards of myself in NYC... I've been on plane after plane. Is there anything odder than picking up an airline magazine and seeing yourself in there? Yes. Its weirder when you take a flight that has satellite tv and the person next to you is watching TBS -- then there are a couple commercials for your show and the person slowly glances over at you and puts 2 and 2 together. (i just waved at him awkwardly).

For all the Frank TV fans, The show has started out very well. Lots of new fans, lots of loyal fans tuning in every week. We've done 5 shows and I'm very proud of all of them. The show is a goofy...and fun... and it was a lot of hard work making it... but a lot of fun, too.

A little side note: How about episode 2's special appearance by Joey Caliendo, my son? After it aired he was on the phone with everyone he knew (he's 3 years old) asking "did you see me on tv? was i silly? was i silly?"... yep bud, you were silly. only took us 3 hours to get 30 seconds of tv... ha.

Lets see, what were some of the highlights of the media tour? I'll tell you ... there were so many different things that I got to do...

One crazy thing happened while i was over at sirius satellite radio... i was on the nfl station...and mike ditka came in from behind me and scared the living daylights out of me... "finally got ya kid!", he yelled out... how did i not hear him coming? you can hear that gum being chewed from a mile away...

I got so much support from all the radio folks out there... from my good friends...to all kinds of shows i'd never done before... so much thanks to all of you.

I probably waited too long to write all this stuff...i'm coming up blank as i try and remember all of it... maybe i'll just have to do one story at a time as they come back to me... i'm sure webmasterT would be happy to get lots of little stories on here.

Anyway, here's the story on Frank TV... we shot 5 of our 8 episodes...and then got shut down by the writer's strike... so we're done for now... nobody really knows what's going on... hollywood really is hollyWEIRD right now... just an odd place... lots of scared folks.....lots of confusion, etc...

I talked to the network... and they're looking at different strategies for the next wave of Frank Tv. I've been assured that they're thrilled with the content of the shows...and the ratings as well... so all looks good for a lots more episodes to come... but we just don't know when. for now, there aren't any plans for the reruns...i think you can get them on itunes, though... or you can get links to watch them online for free here

so, tuesdays will have some other stuff in latenight for a while... (by the way, the show "10 items or less", another tbs original series, starts in a couple of weeks... it was always set to premiere (for the season) at that time... so don't think that frank tv has been replaced.... we rotate with them as far as the schedule goes.... right now... tbs has sex in the city reruns-- until '10 items' starts... there were 3 empty weeks from the episodes we weren't able to do because of the strike...

i'll definitely let people know when we're re-airing...and doing new episodes. hopefully, the writer's strike ends sooner than later...the writers get treated fairly, and everyone can get back to work...

reality shows....ugh.

oh... and this is such a tease...but there's lots of "frank" stuff that's about to be announced...some really big things happening... everything isn't quite signed sealed and delivered... but when it is...we'll let you know right here.. hopefully in a couple of weeks i can let you know what the dealio is....and it'll blow your freakin' mind....

ha... it's like dane cook wrote that last line.

anyway.... some good stuff coming... more soon.
